Lapsed Members

If you fail to maintain the required 30 CPD points over the previous 3-year membership period your AVS status will lapse at the end of the membership year (31st August).

All members who have insufficient points will be contacted and given a one-month grace period in which to upload any outstanding points. If you fail to meet this criterion by the end of this one-month period your membership will lapse and you will be required to complete a remedial CPD programme.

A reinstatement fee of £100 is required within 3 months of a lapsed membership and £250 for anything over 3 months. If AVS status remains lapsed for 5 years or more, both the theory and practical exams will have to be retaken and all conditions met before AVS can be reinstated.

Please contact us for further advice or to arrange reinstatement on cpd.avs@svtgbi.org.uk
